Glen's First Annual Film Awards

No matter how knowledgeable the voters are, no matter how catholic their film taste is, no matter how devoted they are to seeing every god-damn release, film awards are bound to irritate me - the reason being that they don't have the courtesy to reward my favourite films. So, with that in mind, I've initiated my own little awards ceremony.

Eligibility is as follows: Films must have been viewed by me on a cinema screen at some point between the dates 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2011 inclusive, and must have an imdb date predating the eligibility period by no more than 3 years.

As befits my lack of technical knowledge category titles are liable to be rather poor descriptions of what it is that I'm actually rewarding. For example "Best Director" is just a euphemism for "Flashiest Director" and "Best Art Direction" is actually "Best Art Direction, Costuming and Make-up".
